Full description
With its neat rows of vines , historic villages and wines that reflect a long-standing tradition,Alto Monferrato is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves Piedmontese food and wine!
At the Monteruello winery, you’ll enjoy an experience that begins in the vineyard and continues with a guided tasting in a stunning rural setting.
Awaiting you will be three glasses of wine accompanied by cured meats, Piedmontese cheeses and appetisers selected to enhance every sip!
What we will do
The tour begins at the selected time at the Monteruello winery in Quaranti, in the province of Asti, set against the picturesque hilly backdrop of the Alto Monferrato. We will be welcomed by the guide who will accompany us throughout the experience.
We will begin with a walk through the estate’s vineyards, an opportunity to observe the work carried out amongst the rows up close and gain a better understanding of the link between the land and wine production.
Along the way, we will explore the different stages of vine development, the characteristics of the leaves and grapes, and the importance of the soil in the growth of the plants and in defining the identity of the wines.
Once the walk is over, we’ll settle into the tasting area, either under a covered terrace or in an open space overlooking the vineyards.
We will taste three glasses of wine, choosing from sparkling, white and red wines (such as Barbera d’Asti, Barbera del Monferrato, Dolcetto d’Acqui , Freisa d’Asti , Brachetto d’Acqui and Moscato d’Asti ) depending on our preferences and the winery’s availability. To accompany the tastings, we will be served a platter of Piedmontese cold cuts and cheeses, along with a selection of appetisers paired with the wines on offer.
The experience will last approximately 2 hours.
