Visit the city of Turin with an exceptional guide: an alpaca!
Take part in our alpaca walk in the capital of the Alps: you'll leave from an urban setting and enter a natural setting, enjoying the panoramic view of Monviso. All this alongside an amazing adventure companion, whom you will get to know better step by step.
A 1-hour experience that will leave you with a soft memory!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the Fattoria Didattica Cascina 'Cassotti Balbo' in Turin's Mirafiori Sud district. We will be welcomed by the guide who will accompany us on this soft adventure!
Having gathered all the participants, the experience will begin with an introduction to the world of alpacas: we will delve into the ethology of these amazing animals and learn how to approach them with respect. During this moment, lasting about 15 minutes, the guide will provide all the useful information for a carefree experience.
And now it is time to meet our (best) companions: Fernando, Romeo, Dante, Theseus and the other alpacas in the herd! We will then proceed with the assignment of the animal, grab the halter and set off on an adventure: we will walk between the city and nature in the heart of Turin, until we enter a grove and follow the course of the river Sangone to the so-called Spiaggia dei Torinesi. Along the way, we will also encounter attractions such as the historic Church of San Barnaba, and the panoramic view of Monviso will not be missed! The route measures about 2 km and is mostly flat.
We will finally return to the meeting point. The experience will last about 1 hour in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 8 and up. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a participant or accompanying adult.
It is possible to lead alpacas from the age of 14; children aged 8 to 13 may only participate as companions. A maximum of 1 accompanying person per participant is permitted.
The experience is not wheelchair accessible.
Other information
The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed when the minimum number of 2 participants driving the alpaca is reached.
It is not permitted: to participate on a scooter, bicycle, tricycle or other two-wheeled vehicle; to carry umbrellas or drones.
Dogs are not permitted.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
The experience is organised by Alpaca del Monviso, a project of GROW UP Impresa Sociale Agricola.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
