Fancy trying a different activity while discovering the fascinating area of Lake Alimini Grande? Then you can't miss the water bike ride!
Anassistant navigator will accompany you on this experience where you will enjoy admiring the landscape of this brackish lake. The rocky shores, the Mediterranean maquis and the golden reflections of the sun on the water will make you fall in love with this little natural paradise.

What we will do
We will meet 15 minutes before the time selected at the time of booking in Otranto (LE). Here we will meet thenavigation assistant who will accompany us on this adventure.
Via a small jetty we will be able to easily get on our water bikes, a practical means of transport where, instead of wheels, the frame rests on two floats which allow us to pedal on the water. After an initial briefing, we will stay for the first 10 minutes near the shore to get familiar with the water bikes.
Here we are ready to pedal at the water's edge and explore Lake Alimini Grande, which differs from the small one in its brackish characteristics, as well as its size. A few kilometres from the town of Otranto, the Alimini Lakes are now a renowned Protected Natural Oasis of the Apulia Region.
We will cycle for about 50 minutes surrounded by pine forest and lush vegetation. It will be a fun and at the same time regenerating experience, thanks also to the typical scents of the maritime vegetation that blend with those of the Mediterranean scrub. Everything will be made even more evocative by the golden reflections of the sun shining on the water and the rocky coastline.
The navigation assistant will regale us with some anecdotes about this natural paradise, and after about 3 km, we will return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is easy and suitable for everyone. A minimum height of 120 cm and a maximum weight of 90 kg are required.
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult to take part in the activity.
The water bike does not require any particular physical ability, but a good relationship with water is necessary. It is not recommended for pregnant people.

The activity takes place all year round and is confirmed when the minimum number of 2 persons is reached.

Water bikes are for single use only.
It is not recommended to bring valuables.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Free parking is available approximately 300 metres from the boarding point.
