Full description
Windsurf in the 'Cortina d'Ampezzo' of sailing. With its mountains and thermal west wind, Formia is the perfect place to discover balance on the board, catch the wind and learn to sail on the water.
Get ready to meet Nicola, the windsurfing world champion: he will teach you all the secrets of this fantastic sport. When booking, you can choose between one or more lessons of about 2 hours to fall in love with this discipline.

What we will do
We will meet in Formia (LT), 15 minutes before the time indicated in the booking.
Here we will find Nicola, a windsurfing world champion and federal instructor, who will introduce us to the beauty of this water sport.
In the first lesson we will assemble the equipment and follow a theoretical part of about 1 hour, in which we will learn more about safety rules and the main techniques of windsurfing.
Then we will enter the water to begin the practical part, also lasting about 1 hour. We will try to sail independently, finding a good balance on the board to make the first metres in the sea. The instructor will be present at all times, on land and in the water, to support us with his guidance and correct our technique.
It is possible to book from 1 to 5 lessons, in order to deepen the various techniques: how to approach a rotation, jibe and tack with familiarity, learn the different gaits with respect to the direction of the wind and finally acquire a certain autonomy in light wind conditions.
The planned duration is approximately 2 hours per lesson.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is intended for participants aged 7 years and older. Minors must be accompanied at the meeting point by a responsible adult.
Ability to swim and good physical condition are required.
Other information
The activity is available from 15 June to 15 September, every day.
Days and times for lessons after the first one can be arranged directly with the instructor according to their respective commitments. Lessons do not necessarily have to be held on consecutive days; it is also possible to take more than one lesson per day.
Toilets are available at the lido next to the meeting point, and any personal belongings can be left in the care of the bathing establishment's lifeguard. The establishment is dog friendly.
It is also possible to hire sunbeds and umbrellas, SUPs and canoes on site. Contact the organisers after booking confirmation for more information on costs and availability.
The meeting point is not easily accessible by public transport; free and paid parking spaces are available on site.
