In the heart of Tuscany there is a place where wine andoil are still produced 'as grandpa did'.
Come and visit the Terre di Perseto winery nestled in the hills of Chianti Classico: here you can taste the products directly from the family's vineyards and olive groves, with a tasting of 4 glasses and extra virgin olive oil.
Anexperience of over 1.5 hours, that will delight all your senses!
What we will do
The appointment is 5 minutes before the time selected when booking at theAzienda Agricola Terre di Perseto in San Casciano in Val Pesa (FI). We will be welcomed by the guide who will lead us to discover the flavours of the land of Chianti Classico on this visit to the winery with tasting!
Once all the participants have gathered, we will be welcomed into the tasting room where we will be told the family history of the winery. Weather permitting, we will then proceed with a walk through the vineyard, in the beautiful landscape of the Tuscan hills. Afterwards, the experience will continue with a visit to the winery where we will be explained the production process of wine andextra virgin olive oil: we will walk inside the barrel cellar and see the machinery used during production. This will last about 25 minutes.
We will then return to the tasting room and finally it will be time for the tasting! We will be served 4 glasses of wine (2 IGT Toscana and 2 Chianti Classico DOCG Annata and Riserva) to taste in combination with thehouse extra virgin olive oil, served on Tuscan bread and accompanied by balsamic vinegar and marinated organic vegetables.
The experience will last a total of 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for participants aged 18 and over.
The wine tasting is reserved for participants aged 18 and over. Accompanying persons aged 18 and over who do not participate in the wine tasting (abstemious persons and/or pregnant women) pay the same fee and will be served accompanying food, extra virgin olive oil and water. Accompanying persons aged between 0 and 17 participate free of charge: contact the guide at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail to indicate their presence.
The winecellar and tasting room are wheelchair-accessible; the vineyard is not wheelchair-accessible.
Other information
Attention! In the event of bad weather on the same or previous days, the experience will take place entirely indoors, excluding the vineyard walk.
The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed on reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
