There are some pairs that are simply inseparable. Laurel and Hardy, Thelma and Louise, Tom Holland and Zendaya… wine and olive oil!
Come and discover the true spirit of the Karst region at the Parovel Cantina winery in San Dorligo della Valle. A journey through flavours that combines a tour of the underground cellars with a tasting of indigenous wines and local extra virgin olive oils.
An inseparably delicious combination!
What we will do
The tour will take place at the selected time at the Parovel winery in San Dorligo della Valle (TS), set against the backdrop of the Karst.
We’ll begin our tour by exploring the winery’s historic rooms. We’ll head down into the underground cellars, where the guide will explain how the south-facing terraces, blessed by the Mediterranean climate, have always yielded perfect grapes for creating full-bodied wines with great ageing potential. The tour will last around 20 minutes.
Once our curiosity has been satisfied, we’ll move to the tasting area to enjoy the tranquillity of the nearby River Rosandra. When booking, we’ll be able to choose between two options:
- 2-wine tasting: a welcome glass of Visavì Barde Prosecco DOC Trieste, three Chef Collection EVO olive oils featuring the native Bianchera variety, two wines blending the Karst and Istria regions, and a paired canapé.
- 4-wine tasting: a welcome glass of Visavì Barde Prosecco DOC Trieste, three Chef Collection extra virgin olive oils featuring the native Bianchera variety, four wines from the Carso-Kras DOC region (including Istrian Malvasia, Vitovska, Terrano and Refosco d’Istria) , and
- two canapés featuring gourmet products selected from Slow Food Presidia and producers in Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
The experience will last approximately 1. 5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone, with no age restrictions.
The wine tasting is for adults only. Children who do not eat may take part in the experience free of charge (water or apple juice will be provided for them) ; there is no reduced price for those who do not drink alcohol.
The venue is accessible to people with reduced mobility and pushchairs, with the exception of the underground rooms, which are not accessible.

The experience takes place on the dates shown in the calendar and is confirmed once the minimum number of 2 participants has been reached.

Dogs are allowed provided they are kept on a lead.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
