You can't buy happiness, but you can drink good wine, which is almost the same thing.
Find your 'liquid happiness' in the Ossola Valley, at theEdoardo Patrone winery: visit the vineyards and cellar to discover the philosophy of heroic winemaking and taste five glasses of wine accompanied by local seasonal products .
A 2-hour experience in which you can relax among green rows of vines and toast to the beauty of life.
What we will do
The appointment is at theAzienda Vitivinicola Edoardo Patrone in Domodossola (VB), at the time chosen for the activity.
On arrival we will sit among the rows of vines for an open-air tasting, in a panoramic position from which we can admire the Alps and the town of Domodossola from above.
We will be able to taste 5 glasses of wine from the winery (varying according to seasonality), such as Basin spumante extra Dry, Lepontinum Merlot, PSB - Poderi San Brizio, Prunent Stella - Valli Ossolane Nebbiolo and Rosato Testa Rusa. Each wine will be accompanied by an explanation and a tasting of local products such as salami, cheese and other seasonal local specialities.
Between one glass of wine and another, we will have the opportunity to independently visit the vineyards and the cellar, passing through the production, storage, labelling and ageing rooms. The owner Edoardo or his staff will be on hand to answer all our questions. We will go through the production, storage, labelling and ageing rooms, with the duration of the visit varying according to our interest, from a minimum of 15 minutes to a maximum of one hour.
It will be exciting to learn about the history of this young company, founded by Edoardo Patrone and run together with his wife Stella Tâm Vũ and their team. We will learn more about the history of grape cultivation in the Ossola Valley and the characteristics of local grape varieties such as Merlot and Prünent.
From 1 March to 30 September, the visits and tastings will take place at the Borgata Baceno site, surrounded by vineyards. From 1 October to 28 February, on the other hand, the tastings will take place indoors at the Piazza Cinque Vie venue, with the possibility of visiting the barrel cellar only.
The activity will last about 2 hours, but we can also stay longer after the tasting, to enjoy our moment of 'liquid happiness'!
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for 18 year olds and above.
Wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Minors (or adults who do not drink wine) can participate by paying a reduced fee; water and fruit juices are available for them.
The winery premises in Borgata Baceno are wheelchair accessible, while the premises in Piazza Cinque Vie are not.

Visits are available all year round, Tuesday to Sunday.
Attention! The outdoor activity as described takes place at the Borgata Baceno venue from 1 March to 30 September. From 1 October to 28 February, tastings take place instead at the Piazza Cinque Vie venue in Domodossola in an indoor tasting room; during this period it is only possible to visit the cooperage.
The venue in Borgata Baceno can be reached in 15 minutes on foot from the station or by a shuttle service at €15 per group of up to 5 people (contact the winery after confirmation of booking to request this); there is on-site parking for customers. The Piazza delle Cinque Vie venue, on the other hand, can be reached by car or public transport (5 minutes' walk from the station).

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
