A tasting on the fly, or rather, alla volée!
If you are looking for an experience that makes 'the bang', you are in the right place: in Guiglia, at the TerraQuilia winery, you will not just drink a glass, but you will become the protagonist of an ancient and fascinating ritual. During your visit to the winery, in fact, you will enter into the heart of production with live manual disgorging.
Get ready to discover the most authentic side of unfiltered wine, concluding with a tasting of 4 excellent labels and Modenese artisan specialities!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the TerraQuilia winery in Guiglia (MO) , in the splendid setting of the Modenese high hills. We will be welcomed by our guide, who will accompany us on a discovery of the company philosophy.
We will begin with a walk through the rows of vines surrounding the winery, where we will learn about the land, the vines and organic cultivation; in winter, or in the event of bad weather, we will be able to admire the view directly from the terrace.
We will then continue with a visit to the cellar (approx. 50 minutes) , where we will see the winemaking and storage processes up close. The highlight will be dedicated to disgorgement: we will be able to watch the manual uncorking 'à la volée' performed by an expert or even try to open an ancestral bottle ourselves, observing the process live.
We will then move on to the guided tasting of 4 glasses: Pignoletto with the bottom, Pignoletto sboccato (or rosé) , Lambrusco Grapparossa and a still wine label. The tasting will be enriched by a platter of local products, including 24-month aged mountain Parmigiano Reggiano, salame gentile and artisanal breadsticks.
The experience will last about 2 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for 18 year olds and above. Wine tasting is reserved for adults only.
Minors from 7 to 17 years old pay 50 per cent (including grape juice) , while up to 6 years old participation is free.
The winery is accessible to people with mobility problems and pushchairs, but it is necessary to give prior notice in order to organise the experience in the best possible way.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed for a minimum number of 2 participants.

Dogs are not allowed inside the winery, but are welcome in the tasting room or in the winery's outdoor areas.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point is not easily accessible by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
