In the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, caressed by the sea breeze, lies Belguardo, one of the estates owned by the Mazzei winery, , which has established itself as one of the region’s leading wine producers.
Accompanied by a sommelier-guide, you can enjoy this tour of the winery and discover the history of their grapes and the Belguardo estate, from the vineyards right through to the barrel cellar.
A special food and wine experience, which includes a tasting of five wines ( including the Tenuta Belguardo Crus) served with a selection of local specialities!
What we will do
Please arrive 10 minutes before the time selected when booking at Tenuta Belguardo in Poggio La Mozza (GR).
On arrival, we will be welcomed by the guide and begin the tour with a short walk through the estate’s vineyards, where Cabernet, Sangiovese, Vermentino and many other grape varieties are grown. This diverse mix produces complex wines with elegant and aromatic notes.
The tour will continue in the cellar, taking in the fermentation room (where the grapes ferment) and the barrel cellar, where the wines are aged. The tour will last around 20 minutes, after which we will be able to take a seat at the table set up right in the barrel cellar for a tasting of five wines, including two Tenuta Belguardo Crus , accompanied by a selection of Tuscan cured meats and cheeses.
The experience will last approximately 75 minutes in total .
Who it is aimed at
The wine tasting is for adults only; therefore, this experience is recommended for those aged 18 and over.
Children under 12 can take part free of charge: please contact the venue to let them know they will be attending. Any children aged 13 and over and non-drinkers may take part in the experience by selecting the ‘accompanying guests’ option in the booking form.
The wine cellar and wine shop are accessible by wheelchair or pushchair, but the vineyard is not.
Other information
The activity takes place all year round and is confirmed provided there is a minimum of two people.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Dogs are allowed in the winery’s communal areas and in the vineyard, but are not permitted in the cellar.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
