Sometimes there’s nothing better than being spoilt for choice. Yes, you heard right: it’s time to choose between no fewer than two tastings, each featuring five wines, so you can discover Duca di Salaparuta just the way you like it!
Visit this historic winery in Casteldaccia, just a few kilometres from Palermo: through the stories told by your guide, you’ll delve into the heart of a world that celebrates the local area in all its nuances.
The wines will be expertly paired with local specialities, for a truly all-round food and wine experience!
What we will do
We’ll meet 10 minutes before the selected time at the Duca di Salaparuta winery in Casteldaccia (PA).
We will be welcomed by our guide, who will take us on a fascinating journey to discover the cultural terroir and the innovative methods of winemaking and ageing.
We’ll have the chance to immerse ourselves in the unique atmosphere of the barrel cellar, experiencing first-hand some of the historic vintages of one of Sicilian winemaking’s iconic wines: Duca Enrico.
The experience will then continue in one of the tasting rooms, where we will be seated for a wine tasting featuring pairings typical of the region. When booking, we can choose between two options:
- ‘Journey through the Estates’ tasting: a journey through the various estates and terroirs of Duca di Salaparuta. This includes a tasting of 5 glasses ( Sentiero del Vento Vermentino , Kados Grillo , Lavico Etna Rosato DOC, Triskelè Nero d’Avola , ALA dessert wine )
- ‘Le Eccellenze del Duca’ tasting: a selection of five iconic wines dedicated to connoisseurs and wine lovers keen to explore the history behind Duca di Salaparuta’s most representative labels (Bianca di Valguarnere Terre Siciliane IGT , Nawàri Pinot Nero , Triskelè Nero d’Avola , Duca Enrico Nero d’Avola , ALA dessert wine ) .
The experience will last approximately one and a half hours in total .

This experience is recommended for those aged 18 and over.
The wine tasting is for adults only. Any accompanying minors may take part in the experience at a reduced rate; children aged 5 and under participate free of charge.
The venue is accessible to wheelchair users and pushchairs.
Other information
The activity takes place all year round and is confirmed once a minimum of two participants have signed up.
Small dogs are only permitted if carried in your arms or in a suitable pet carrier.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
