Full description

What does Sardinia taste like?

You’ll find out (or rather, you’ll get a taste of it) by taking part in our wine and local produce tasting in Atzara: accompanied by a guide, you’ll visit a family-run winery in the heart of the Sardinian hinterland to discover how Mandrolisai wine is made. There’ll be plenty of wine, carasau bread, cured meats and cheeses.

A 2-hour experience, full of the flavours of Sardinia!

What we will do

Please arrive 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Atzara (NU). The experience takes place at Roberto Cadeddu Vitivinicola, a family-run winery in the heart of the Sardinian hinterland.

On arrival, we’ll meet the guide and the other participants. If we’d like to, and weather permitting, the experience will begin with a walk through the family vineyard, which is about a 5-minute drive from the winery. Back at the meeting point, we’ll tour the winery, walking amongst wooden barrels and steel tanks to learn about the wine-making process.

The wine tasting and sampling of local specialities will also take place inside the winery. We’ll taste four Mandrolisai DOC wines, typical of the hilly areas of central Sardinia, accompanied by local specialities such as carasau bread, cured meats and cheeses. The guide will accompany us throughout the tasting with descriptions and insights, enhancing every sip and bite.

The experience lasts approximately 2 hours in total.
