Full description
A visit to the cellar like this is something you have never done before. And in fact, in addition to the ageing barrels and processing tanks, you will admire the fruit cellar: a guide will tell you that in this room, reserved for the natural drying of the grapes, Amarone and Recioto are born.
A wine tasting like this, you have never had. And in fact, in addition to the best known flavours of Valpolicella, you will taste Rosso Verona: a wine from the past that you can only enjoy at Corte Archi. A tasting of 6 glasses, to toast this exclusive experience of over 1 hour!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at Corte Archi, in the hamlet of Valgatara near Marano di Valpolicella (VR). You and your group will be welcomed by a member of thewinery in this splendid setting of the Valpolicella Classica, between Verona and Lake Garda.
Your exploration of this early 20th century wine cellar can then begin: you will observe the wooden barrels where the wine is aged, walk among the steel tanks in the processing area and finally reach the fruttaio, an area dedicated to thenatural drying of the grapes that here begin their transformation into Amarone and Recioto. The visit lasts about 30 minutes.
Weather permitting, there will also be a short walk through the vineyard with a view of the Marano Valley before reaching the tasting room. This will consist of 6 glasses of Valpolicella wines, accompanied by dry baked goods such as taralli, breadsticks and crackers according to availability:
- Valpolicella Classico DOC "Gli Archi"
- Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC "Gli Archi"
- Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso DOC "Gli Archi"
- Rosso Verona IGT "Oseleta"
- Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG "Gli Archi"
- Amarone della Valpolicella Classico "IS ".
Each glass will be carefully described by the person in charge of the tasting; the Rosso Verona deserves a small advance, as it is a wine from the past that the local wineries no longer offer and you will only be able to taste it at Corte Archi!
The experience will last a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone without age limits; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The wine tasting is reserved for participants over 18 years of age only. A discounted rate is reserved for minors, which includes snacks accompanied by non-alcoholic drinks.
The wine cellar is not accessible by wheelchair or pushchair.

The experience takes place from January to December.
This activity is private: you and your group will be the only participants.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
