Full description

What journey does a bunch of grapes take from the vineyard to the bottle? Find out with a guided tour of the winery in Bardolino, just a few metres from Lake Garda.

Cantine Lenotti opens its doors to you for a fascinating journey into the world of wine, in which you can discover the entire production process, from the grape harvest to ageing in the barrique cellar.

Of course, there will also be a tasting of 4 wines from the area, including Bardolino Chiaretto and Bardolino DOC. Raise your glasses!

What we will do

The appointment is 5 minutes before the indicated time at Cantine Lenotti in Bardolino (VR).

The tour will start at the Santa Cristina vineyard, right behind the winery, one of the smallest but most characteristic, just a few hundred metres from Lake Garda. During the visit we will learn more about the history of the Lenotti family and the winery, active since 1906.

We will then proceed to the grape receiving area and the fermentation cellar where, after the harvest, the grapes are left to ferment in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. We will move into the barrique cellar below, consisting of two large underground rooms, dedicated to the ageing of red wines in oak barrels and in bottles.

We will then be accompanied to the bottling room, where we will be able to see all the machinery required for bottling and labelling at work.

At the end of the tour we will finally be able to taste the fruits of this sensory journey. Thetasting will include thetasting of 4 wines, whose history and production techniques we will discover. The wines may vary depending on the availability of the winery, but will generally be a white(Lugana or Soave), a rosé(Chiaretto di Bardolino) and two reds, one lighter and one more structured(Bardolino, Valpolicella Ripasso or Amarone).

If possible, the tastings will take place outdoors, while in the event of adverse weather conditions they will be held in the tasting room.

The total duration of the activity will be 2 hours, of which approximately 45 minutes will be spent visiting and the rest dedicated to tasting.
