Wineand art are the ingredients of this wine-cultural experience!
In the company of a guide, you will visit the winery and walk among the rows of vines in Monforte d'Alba. You will then go on to explore the Perno Castle, once the residence of the publisher Giulio Einaudi and today the Cultural Association of Contemporary Arts.
And it is precisely in the historic library that a tasting of the most representative wines of the Langhe will take place, ending with a toast!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the Castello di Perno Winery in Castelletto, in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba (CN). We will be welcomed by the guide who will accompany us on this wine and art experience!
Once all the participants have gathered, and after an initial presentation, the visit to the winery will begin: we will walk through the winemaking rooms and the characteristic barrel cellar, delving into production thanks to the guide's stories. We will then reach the vineyard for a walk through the rows of vines, before returning to our vehicles and heading for the next location.
We will then follow the guide who, after a few minutes' transfer, will welcome us to our destination: Perno Castle, the residence of the famous Turin publisher Giulio Einaudi and today the Cultural Association of Contemporary Arts. We will visit the rooms on the first floor, amidst priceless relics and panoramic views of the Langhe hills.
We will then enter the Sala Einaudiana, home of the historic library where the table at which Primo Levi, Italo Calvino, Cesare Pavese and other illustrious names on the Italian cultural scene sat. It is precisely in this environment that we will also sit for the wine tasting , which will include the following four glasses accompanied by a mixed platter of cold meats and cheeses:
- Langhe Nascetta DOC
- Barbera d'Asti DOCG
- Langhe Nebbiolo DOC
- Barolo DOCG
The experience will last a total of 3 hours.

The experience is recommended for participants aged 18 and over.
Wine tasting is reserved for participants over 18 years of age only. Accompanying minors, astemics and pregnant women participate free of charge.
The facility is wheelchair accessible.

Attention! The meeting point is at the Perno Castle Winery, not at Perno Castle, which is 6 km away and will be visited during the experience.
The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed on reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.
There is free parking on site; the meeting point cannot be reached by public transport. The experience requires transfers by own transport.
Small dogs are allowed on the premises.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
