Close your eyes and imagine: yes, right there, on the hill of Santa Brigida where the Dellerba Winery is today, once stood a French fortification.
That is why today in Pinerolo you can find Galvan, Doux d'Henry as well as indigenous Piedmontese vines that you will discover in this guided tasting with a visit to the cellar, which still uses the method of conservation and ageing of wines dating back to the 18th century.

What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at Cantina Dellerba, located on the Santa Brigida hill in Pinerolo (TO). We will be welcomed by a guide who will lead us on a discovery of the wines of the Pinerolese DOC area.
Here, surrounded by the Alps, the native vines of Barbera, Malvasia, Freisa as well as Galvan and Doux d'Henry , which in Italy can only be found in this area, are cultivated. Upon request, we can take a walk through the vineyards and also discover the herbicide-free cultivation procedure.
We will then visit the wine cellar, built on a lava stone that naturally exudes spring water. We will move on from the cooperage to the fermentation room, where we will have a little in-depth look at the classic method.
Afterwards, depending on the season, we will be seated in the outdoor dehor or inside the farmhouse for a wine tasting (3 glasses) .
The labels will be selected by the guide according to your preferences. It will be possible to taste red, rosé, white or classic method sparkling wines.
Each goblet will be accompanied by an explanation to better appreciate its flavours and aromas, and there will be an accompanying board of local products.
The experience will last a total of about 1½ hours.

The experience is recommended for 18 years and over.
The wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Any accompanying under-age persons may participate in the experience at a cost of €10. 00 and will be offered a fruit juice from the farm.
The facility is accessible by wheelchair or pushchair.

The activity takes place all year round and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Dogs are not allowed during the experience.
