'One is as good as the other' is a phrase that probably causes you a slight nervous tic.
If you are looking for a tasting where you can savour the nuances that only terroir can imprint, the Giovanni Rosso winery in Serralunga d'Alba is your kingdom.
Take part in an exclusive masterclass: you will visit the winery and the barrel cellar, taste future Barolo (including the rare Cru Rionda) straight from the barrel and sample five glasses of current vintages from among the winery's most prestigious crus.
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the Giovanni Rosso Winery in Serralunga d'Alba in the province of Cuneo, in the heart of the UNESCO wine-growing landscapes. We will be welcomed by our guide, a qualified oenologist or sommelier, who will accompany us on this technical journey through the secrets of our production.
We will begin the guided tour by exploring the vinification and ageing area, where the Nebbiolo rests in the silence of the barrels. During the tour, we will experience a moment of rare exclusivity: we will have the opportunity to taste the Barolo of the future vintage directly from the barrels. A privilege that will allow us to understand the evolution of the wine before it reaches the market, including tasting the legendary Cru Rionda (MGA), an excellence that boasts an extremely limited production in the bottle.
Afterwards, we will take a seat in the tasting room (bar room) for the actual tasting. Five wines from current vintages will be served, chosen to give us a complete view of the winery's production philosophy:

- Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba DOCG
- Barolo Serra DOCG
- Barolo Cerretta DOCG
Through this guided tour, we will highlight the differences between soils, exposures and microclimates. We will discover how each individual vineyard gives the wine unique characteristics, making it recognisable at first sip.
For those who wish to enrich the tasting, a tasting + chopping board option is available, in which one chopping board per person of typical Langa products is provided, ideal for balancing the structure of the wines being tasted.
The experience will last a total of about 1. 5 hours.

The experience is recommended from 18 years of age and is aimed at an audience of enthusiasts.
Wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Any accompanying under-age persons may participate in the experience as "chaperones" with the price to be paid on site according to consumption.

The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions.
