At Cà Neuva in Dogliani, wine is lived with a smile: the Abbona family opens the doors of its cellar to you for a journey to discover the great flavours of the Langhe.
The one and a half hour experience includes the tasting of 7 wines, accompanied by cold meats, cheeses and other typical Piedmontese dishes. And, to conclude, a tour of the winery!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the Cà Neuva winery in Dogliani (CN), in the beautiful setting of the Langhe.
We will be welcomed by a member or collaborator of the Abbona family, which manages this reality. We will take a seat in a room dedicated to wine tasting and immediately begin our journey. Seated all together, as in a table among friends, we will start a tasting involving the company's production line.
We will taste no less than 7 different wines, starting with whites such as Arneis, moving on to the reds of the territory such as Dolcetto, Dogliani Superiore, Nebbiolo and Barbera, and ending with the complexity of Barolo.
Each glass will be accompanied by a taste of Piedmontese specialities: canapés with cured meats, cheeses with the typical cugnà and the classic paste di meliga. While we taste, our hosts will tell us the story of each label, from the work in the vineyard to the final transformation.
After the tastings, we will move on to the cellar, where we can discover the work behind the wines we have just tasted: the fermentation, the tanks for racking and those for ageing, and finally the bottling and labelling stage. We will end the tour with the possibility of purchasing our favourite bottles directly on site.
The experience will last about 1½ hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The wine tasting is reserved for adults only.
Any accompanying minors (from 2 to 17 years of age) may participate by receiving a plate of typical samples at a reduced cost, while for children from 0 to 2 years of age the experience is free of charge. Adults who do not taste wine instead pay the full fee.
The facility is accessible to people with mobility problems and pushchairs. Please inform us in advance of the presence of wheelchairs at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
