When the pleasure of adventure meets the taste of Monferrato wines, the emotions can only be unique!
Join us for an off-road tour through the vineyards of the Oddone Prati winery in Strevi, in the province of Alessandria, and discover the history and cultivation systems of this family-run business.
After the off-road tour, stop at the winery for a guided tour and conclude with a tasting of 3 glasses of wine, accompanied by a board of PDO cold cuts and cheeses.
What we will do
We will meet at the Oddone Prati winery in Strevi (AL), 10 minutes before the indicated time.
We will begin our journey of discovery with an off-road tour through the family vineyards, immersed in the wine-growing landscapes of Monferrato, a Unesco heritage site. During the tour, which lasts about 30 minutes, we will have the opportunity to learn more about the cultivation systems and Piedmontese viticulture together with the guide, with some stops to take photos at panoramic viewpoints.
Once back in the winery, we will be able to visit the modern and old production areas and discover the history of the company, which was founded in 1880 and specialises in the cultivation of native and international grape varieties.
At the end of the visit, which will last about 15 minutes, we will sit in the indoor tasting room (or, in fine weather, outdoors) to enjoy 3 glasses of wine such as Extra Dry rosé sparkling wine, Chardonnay barricato and Barbera d'Asti, traditional wines revisited in an innovative way.
The tasting will be accompanied by an explanation of the characteristics of each wine and a platter of PDO cold cuts and cheeses.
The experience will last approximately 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone from 2 years old and up. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Children under the age of 12 can participate free of charge, while from 12 to 17 years of age there is a reduced rate that includes the off-road tour, cellar visit and wine tasting.
The facility is wheelchair and pushchair accessible, with the exception of the production area where the guided tour takes place.
Other information
The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 participants.
Depending on the season, a closed or open jeep, which can carry up to 5 passengers, will be used for the tour through the vineyards. In the case of larger groups, passengers may be split between two cars or two consecutive shifts. Child seats are not available.
If you have any food allergies and/or intolerances, please contact the winery at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to inform them. It is possible to request an extra board at a cost of €7 payable locally.
Four-legged friends are welcome in the tasting area but are not allowed in the production area where the guided tour takes place.
The company cannot be reached by public transport; free parking is available on site.
