If you like red wines, this experience is waiting for you!
Take part in our tasting of Nebbiolo and Barbera, among the most important red grape varieties in Piedmont: you will taste 4 representative wines of the territory, expertly described by our guide.
A1½-hour experience, enriched by a guided visit to the winery.
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the Castello di Perno Winery in Castelletto, in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba (CN). We will be welcomed by the guide with whom we will explore this winemaking reality in the heart of the Langhe.
Once all the participants have gathered, the visit to the winery will begin: we will discover the production, walking through the winemaking rooms and the characteristic barrel cellar, accompanied by the guide's stories. This will last 30 minutes.
We will then enter the tasting room, which, depending on the time of year, will be a panoramic room or terrace overlooking the vineyards, the Castle of Serralunga d'Alba, Monforte d'Alba and the hills of the Langhe. The tasting will include 4 glasses of the following wines from among the most important red grape varieties in Piedmont, accompanied by breadsticks:
- Langhe Nebbiolo DOC (Nebbiolo from Cru Gramolere)
- Barolo Castelletto DOCG (Nebbiolo from Cru Castelletto)
- Barbera d'Asti DOCG (Barbera from Cru Bricco di Nizza, from 50-year-old vineyards)
- Nizza DOCG (Barbera from Cru Bricco di Nizza, from 80-year-old vineyards)
The experience will last a total of 1.5 hours, at the end of which we will be able to walk independently through the rows of vines surrounding the winery.

The experience is recommended for participants aged 18 and over.
Wine tasting is reserved for participants over 18 years of age only. Accompanying minors, astemics and pregnant women participate free of charge.
The facility is wheelchair accessible.

Attention! The meeting point is at the Perno Castle Winery, not at Perno Castle, which is 6 km away and will not be visited during the experience.
The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed when the minimum number of 4 participants is reached.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Small dogs are allowed on the premises.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
