Full description
Do you find you’ve got a real artistic streak after a glass of wine?
Then this two-and-a-half-hour experience in the province of Cuneo is perfect for you: you’ll take part in a painting workshop using waste materials from agriculture and winemaking, before enjoying four delicious wines during a guided tasting.
What are you waiting for? Let yourself be inspired by the aromas, flavours and colours of Piedmont!
What we will do
We will meet 10 minutes before the selected time at La Risorseria, a private atelier at the Mauro Marengo winery in Novello (CN), set in the Langhe region. We will be welcomed by the sommelier guide – who also holds a degree in painting and the restoration of cultural heritage – who will introduce us to the history of the winery and the project on which the workshop we are taking part in will focus.
In fact, at this venue, works of art are created using waste materials from agriculture and winemaking, such as paints, dyes, glazes, fabrics and ceramics. Thanks to the guide’s introduction, we will understand the value of local resources and , straight afterwards, we will pick up paper, brushes and handmade watercolours made from agricultural and wine-making waste materials ( such as grape pigments and charcoal made from vine shoots) to start painting.
Whilst seeking inspiration to complete our painting, we’ll take part in a guided tasting of four wines (Langhe Nas-cëtta, Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba Superiore, Barolo) . The guide will explain the characteristics of each wine and, whilst we discover the colours, flavours and aromas of Piedmont’s vineyards, we’ll be served small samples of breadsticks, toasted hazelnuts, cheeses and cured meats.
It will be a fascinating and enjoyable experience that will make us fall in love with this region and all it has to offer!
The activity will last a total of two and a half hours.
