Taste wine where it is born, among sun-kissed vineyards and the scent of olive trees.
At theAugustali winery, near Palermo, the journey begins with a glass of Vermentino between the rows, continues in the cellar to discover the secrets of winemaking and culminates in a picnic on the lawn with 3 wines paired with Sicilian specialities.
A 2-hour tasting experience in which every sip and every bite tells the true soul of Sicily.
What we will do
The appointment is at theAugustali farm, located in the province of Palermo. On arrival, the guide will welcome us by handing us our glass holder.
We will begin with a walk through the vineyards where we will have our first taste of Vermentino wine, while we will be told about the roots of the winery, the history of the family, and the characteristics of this territory.
Glass in hand, we will move inside for a visit to the cellar, where we will explore the barrique cellar and the winemaking area. Between wooden barrels and steel tanks, we will learn the secrets of ageing and production in a fascinating 30-40 minute journey through time and tradition.
At the end of the visit, we will walk along a path through aromatic plants and centuries-old olive trees, gathering a small bouquet of aromatic herbs that will accompany us to the tasting and picnic.
Wewill sit on the lawn, surrounded by the rows of vines, to taste three of the winery's wines, one white and two reds, paired with a board of Sicilian specialities. We will taste cured meats, cheeses, caponata and other delicacies such as honey, pâté and homemade jams.
The experience will last about 2 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The wine tasting is reserved for participants of legal age only. Minors or abstemious persons will be offered the Sicilian specialities as described combined with fruit juices or non-alcoholic drinks.
Children from 2 to 12 years pay a reduced rate, which can be selected in the booking box.
The experience is accessible to wheelchair users.

The activity is bookable from April to September, from Monday to Saturday, and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 people.
