It is said that 'Home is where the wine is' and this experience confirms it!
At theAzienda Agricola Casa Garello you can spread blankets and pillows on the ground and admire the view while you taste the wines of the Oltrepò Pavese and sample some typical products, presented in a picnic basket.
A sommelier will guide you through the experience and take you on a tour of the cellar where production takes place.
With the relaxed atmosphere that will be created... you won't fail to feel at home!
What we will do
We will meet at the meeting point at theCasa Garello farm in Salice Terme (PV). Once there, we will be struck by the natural scenery that surrounds us, made up of vineyards, enchanting views and the small houses of the farming village where the farm is located.
Afterwards, we will spread our prepared blankets and pillows on the ground and sit in the beautiful garden surrounding the facility. Then, we will begin the wine tasting, which we will accompany with cold meats, cheeses, focaccia and jam tart (included). These products, either typical of the area or produced at the agriturismo, will be served in a delicious picnic basket.
We will taste 3 of the farm's most representative wines , depending on availability. These will include a Pinot Noir vinified in white, a Pinot Noir vinified in red, a Barbera, a Bonarda, a Chardonnay and a Moscato. The tasting will be led by an expert sommelier and will take us on a discovery of the typical aromas and flavours of theOltrepò Pavese area.
At the end of the picnic with tasting, which will last about 2 hours, we will continue the experience with a visit to the winery lasting about 30 minutes. Here we will be explained the winemaking process that transforms grapes into wine and we will be shown the machinery used. Finally, after a few final questions, we will say goodbye!
The activity lasts a total of 2½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone. A minimum age of 18 is required to participate in the wine tasting. Non-alcoholic drinks are available for those under 18 years of age.
Other information
The activity is available every weekend from May to September (excluding July) and will be confirmed once a minimum of 6 participants is reached. In the event of bad weather, the activity will take place inside the farmhouse.
The experience includes some typical products to accompany the wines tasted. In the event of allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements, please contact the activity organisers at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail and ask for an alternative.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport , while free parking spaces are available nearby.
