If you have decided it is time for a full immersion in Tuscan wines, you have found the right place. At the Podere Pellicciano in San Miniato, there is no joking around: with no less than 6 glasses for tasting, you will not be left empty-mouthed!
Prepare to be told the story of this historic farm by the family that has decided to bring it back to life with an organic philosophy. Between a walk through the vineyards and a visit to the cellar, you will discover that good wine does not fall from the sky, but requires love and care.
And to make sure you don't miss anything, the tasting will be accompanied by a platter of local products and home-made EVO oil!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the Podere Pellicciano in San Miniato (PI), in the setting of a hilly area devoted to viticulture.
We will be welcomed by a guide who will introduce us to the family philosophy and the history of this historic farm. We will begin with a tour that will take us to visit two types of vineyards. Here we will learn to recognise the phenological phases of the plants according to the season, and we will discover the agronomic processes required to maintain organic certification, with interesting hints about the estate's olive-growing.
We will then continue inside the winery to reconstruct the entire production process: we will closely observe the path that transforms the bunches of grapes into wine, from the harvest stage to the moment of bottling. This part of the tour, between vineyards and production rooms, will last about 1 hour.
Finally, we will be seated in a dedicated tasting room with large windows overlooking the rows of vines. Here, in a tranquil and evocative setting, we will move on to the technical tasting of 6 glasses of wine: we will taste 2 whites, 1 rosé and 3 reds from the winery's premium lines, including monovarietals from indigenous grape varieties in purity.
The wine tasting will be accompanied by a platter of local cured meats and cheeses and a tasting of Tuscan olive oil produced on the estate, ideal for enhancing the aromatic characteristics of the chosen wines.
The experience will last approximately 2 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for 18 year olds and above. The wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Any accompanying minors and astemious persons may participate in the experience free of charge.
The property is accessible to people with mobility problems; it is possible to visit the vineyards directly from the property's garden.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 people.

Dogs are allowed on request, with the exception of the cellar premises during production.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
