What better place than a 16th century Dominican monastery to find peace of mind (and of the palate) ?
We take you to Bianzone, in the heart of Valtellina, to the Tenuta La Gatta of the Triacca family. Here, between centuries-old walls that have seen pilgrims and nobles pass through, a guided tour through vineyards and historic cellars awaits you, crowned by a wine tasting where Nebbiolo reigns supreme.
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the Tenuta La Gatta in Bianzone (SO), in the setting of the suggestive wine-growing landscape of Valtellina. We will be welcomed by a guide who will introduce us to the history of this fascinating place, which began as a monastery and has now become a symbol of the Triacca family's wine production.
We will begin with a guided walk through the estate's vineyards , located between 300 and 500 m above sea level, where we will admire the special terraced cultivation system and discover Nebbiolo, which occupies 90% of the surface area.
We will then continue our visit inside the historic wine cellar, a fascinating environment where the guide will explain how technological innovation combines with tradition to enhance the potential of local grapes.
The tour will continue with a guided tasting of four wines from the Triacca selection: we will taste a white wine and three red wines, including the renowned Sforzato, to fully savour the identity of the Valtellina soil. To accompany our glasses, we will be served an aperitif based on typical local products such as cold meats and cheeses.
We will be able to enjoy this moment of conviviality in the outdoor dehor or in the rooms of the historic residence, immersed in an atmosphere of total relaxation.
The experience will last about 1. 5 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for 18 year olds and above.
The wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Any accompanying minors from 11 to 18 years of age can participate at a cost of €15. 00 with BIO apple juice included, while children up to 10 years of age can participate free of charge.
The facility is accessible to people with mobility problems (please inform the facility after booking confirmation) , however, please note that the historic wine cellar is not wheelchair-accessible.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 people.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
