If we say 'tasting in Tuscany' you think... Chianti!
And that's exactly what you'll taste during our visit to Villa Travignoli, a historic winery in the province of Florence. You will admire the vineyard, stroll through the cellar (or rather, the cellars) and toast with the best Tuscan labels.
Anexperience of more than 1 hour, during which you will walk through more than 550 years of history!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at Villa Travignoli in Pelago (FI). We will be welcomed by a guide who will accompany us on a discovery tour of this historic Tuscan winery!
The experience will begin outside, in front of the vineyard, and will then continue on the terrace with a panoramic view: in this splendid setting, the guide will tell us the history of the winery as well as the characteristics of the land and the cultivation of the grapes. We will then continue inside, with a visit to the cellar: here we will learn more about vinification in steel, discovering the production process from harvesting to bottling.
We will then visit the scenic barrel cellar in which the wine is aged; there will also be small barrels where the Vin Santo, characteristic of the area, rests. Finally, we will admire the historic bottles that have been resting since. 1982!
And here we are ready to head to the tasting room, decorated with old machinery. The guide will serve us four glasses of wine, including Spumante Brut Rosé, Gavignano Bianco Toscana IGT, Chianti Rufina DOCG and Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG; accompanied by bread dressed with home-produced olive oil.
The experience will last a total of 1.5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for participants aged 18 and over.
The wine tasting is reserved for participants over 18 years of age only. Underage participants and abstemious persons paying the reduced rate will be served bruschetta topped with home-produced oil accompanied by water. Children aged 0 to 11 years participate free of charge.
The facility (excluding the terrace) is accessible by wheelchair and/or pushchair.

The experience takes place all year round.
