Full description
Imagine sipping your favourite glass while gazing out into the blue of Lake Bracciano. This is not a dream, but what awaits you at Cantine Capitani.
You will begin with an evocative walk through the panoramic rows of vines, where you will be able to put on the shoes (and hat! ) of the winemaker, and then delve into the heart of production.
It will be a sensory journey of about 2 hours: between a chat in the cellar and the tasting of 2 labels chosen by you, you will enjoy every sip accompanied by a rich platter of local products.
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at Cantine Capitani in Trevignano Romano (RM), in the setting of the beautiful hills overlooking Lake Bracciano. We will be welcomed by our guide, who will provide us with some nice vineyard hats to protect us from the sun and immerse us in the atmosphere of the countryside.
We will begin with a walk through the rows of vines lasting about 20 minutes. We will climb gently up the hill for about 150 metres until we reach a viewpoint: here we will stop to admire the beautiful view of the lake, while the guide will tell us about the history of the winery and the characteristics of the grapes grown, from the historic blends of Trebbiano and Malvasia to international varieties such as Merlot and Syrah.
We will then proceed to the beating heart of the winery: the cellar. During a visit lasting about 40-45 minutes, we will explore the rooms where the magic of transformation takes place, observing the machinery up close and discovering all the stages of the production process, from crushing to ageing. The guide will reveal the secrets that make the wines of this house so special.
At the end of the tour, we will move to the showroom for the final stage. Here we will be introduced to the wines and oil produced by the winery and we will choose the two labels to taste (such as the classic LacusTre Bianco and Rosso or the Cesanese d'Affile) , based on our tastes and the inspirations of the moment. The tasting will be accompanied by a board of typical local products (included), bread and water, designed to enhance the aromas of the chosen wines.
The experience will last approximately 2 hours in total.

The wine tasting is reserved for adults only.
Any accompanying minors may participate in the tour and walk at a cost of €10; please select the corresponding option in the booking box.
The facility is wheelchair and pushchair accessible, with the exception of the vineyard.

Dogs are allowed on a leash in most areas of the winery, excluding the processing areas.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
