If you think you know everything there is to know about wine, then this is the experience for you!
At the La Piemontina winery, you can play at the Wine Casino, putting your knowledge of wine, your palate and… your concentration to the test!
Here, in fact, the tasting becomes a challenge: who will prove they have the makings of a true sommelier?
What we will do
The tour will take place at the time selected when booking in Sizzano (NO) at the La Piemontina winery, set amongst the Colli Novaresi hills.
On arrival, we will be welcomed by the guide, who will take us on a journey to discover the winery’s history, its philosophy and the deep connection between La Piemontina and the Alto Piemonte region. During the tour, we’ll walk through the various production areas and gain an up-close understanding of every stage the grapes go through, from harvest to processing and ageing.
The experience will then continue with a tasting of four glasses of wine, selected according to the season and the characteristics of the moment, allowing us to discover different expressions of the winery’s production. The wines will be accompanied by a platter of local cured meats and cheeses, to make the tasting even more enjoyable.
After that, it’ll be time to put ourselves to the test! After discovering and tasting the wines, we’ll be able to put our skills to the test in the Wine Casino: a fun and engaging challenge in which our sense of smell, palate and knowledge will take centre stage, to find out if there’s an aspiring sommelier hiding amongst the participants!
To round off the experience, we’ll enjoy a relaxing moment in the vineyard, where we can take a stroll at our own pace whilst taking in the stunning views of the Alps and Monte Rosa.
The experience will last approximately two and a half hours in total .
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone; however, the wine tasting and the ‘wine casino’ are reserved for adults only. Minors (or anyone who does not drink alcohol) may take part in the experience as ‘accompanying guests’ at a cost of €10. 00 (water and a platter of nibbles included) .
The winery and tasting room are accessible with pushchairs and wheelchairs; the vineyard is not.
Other information
The activity takes place all year round and is confirmed once a minimum of two participants have signed up.
There is free on-site car parking , which is also suitable for coaches and large vehicles. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Dogs are allowed in the winery’s communal areas and in the vineyard, but are not permitted in the cellar.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
