The hills have. .. wine! Or at least, those of the Oriolo dei Fichi territory do.
If you are looking for an experience that tastes good and authentic, Cantina La Sabbiona in Faenza is the right place for you: here the Altini family transforms the fruits of the earth into glasses that tell stories of tradition and passion.
You will discover the secrets of native vines such as Famoso and Centesimino with a guided tour of the cellar, in an atmosphere where cordiality is at home. Finally, you will enjoy a tasting of 3 glasses accompanied by a platter of traditional cold meats and local cheeses.
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at Cantina La Sabbiona in Faenza, in the province of Ravenna, in the splendid setting of the hills of Oriolo dei Fichi. We will be welcomed by our guide, who will immediately take us to the beating heart of the winery to begin the tour of the cellar.
During the tour, the winemaking processes will be explained to us in detail, from the manual harvesting of the grapes to the bottling, revealing the history and values of this winery, which is closely linked to nature.
We will then continue with the tale of the labels: we will discover the origin of curious names and the unique characteristics of local grape varieties such as Albana and Sangiovese. It will be an interactive moment in which, together with the guide, we will agree on the types of wine to include in our tasting.
We will then sit down for the actual tasting, which, depending on weather conditions, will take place outdoors, in the restaurant room or directly in the cellar. In front of us we will have 3 glasses of wine to choose from (e. g. Albana, Sangiovese or the special Centesimino) , produced using modern technology but with a deeply artisanal soul.
To make the experience even more complete, each sip will be paired with a small board of traditional snacks, consisting of a selection of local cured meats and cheeses that enhance the identity of Romagna.
The experience will last a total of about 1. 5 hours.

Wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Any accompanying under-age persons may participate in the experience on a pay-as-you-go basis, with non-alcoholic drinks available.
The facility is accessible to people with mobility problems and wheelchairs.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
