If the soul of Tuscany had a colour or a scent, it would be the wine of the Terre de' Pepi winery in Volterra!
Live an experience in the heart of the Val di Cecina, discovering natural winemaking techniques, ending with a tasting of 4 organic labels enhanced by a rich platter of local specialities and extra virgin olive oil!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at Terre de' Pepi Winery in Volterra (PI), in the picturesque setting of the Cecina Valley. We will be welcomed by a guide who will introduce us into the heart of the recently built winery to reveal every secret of the winemaking world.
We will begin the tour by discovering the winemaking process guided by the oenodynamic method: we will see where the grapes, harvested strictly by hand, are transformed into wine without the aid of industrial oenological products. We will continue to the ageing room, where the wines slowly evolve in oak wood, and visit the bottling area where each vintage takes its final shape.
Afterwards, we will move to the panoramic terrace of the winery to admire a breathtaking view of the estate's 3 hectares of vineyards growing on the hills of the Val di Cecina.
The experience will end in the tasting room with a tasting of 4 organic wines, authentic expressions of the Sangiovese, Vermentino, Montepulciano, Ciliegiolo and Colorino varieties.
The tasting will be served at private tables and the wines will be accompanied by a selection of typical products such as mixed cold cuts, cheeses and Tuscan bread with the estate's own EVO oil.
The experience will last a total of about 1 and a half hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for ages 18 and over, as the wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Any accompanying persons under 5 years of age attend free of charge, while from 6 to 17 years of age there is a reduced cost of €15; notification of their presence is required.
The facility is partially accessible by wheelchair: the wine cellar is wheelchair-accessible, while the tasting room has a flight of stairs. On request, it is possible to organise the tasting directly in the cellar to ensure accessibility for all.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 people.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
