Do you have a trip to Lake Garda planned?Then a 'diversion' to Selva Capuzza is a must!

At this ancient estate in Desenzano del Garda, you can stroll among the rows of vines, visit the wine cellar and conclude with an open-air tasting under the portico, where you can sample the excellence of the local grape varieties , accompanied (if you wish) by local cold cuts and cheeses.

What we will do

The appointment is at the selected time at the Selva Capuzza winery in Desenzano del Garda (BS), in the beautiful setting of the morainic hills overlooking Lake Garda. We will be welcomed by the guide who will accompany us for the entire duration of the tour.

We will begin the activity with a pleasant walk in the open air among the vineyard and olive grove, located right in front of the historic Tower of San Martino della Battaglia. During the walk, the guide will explain the peculiarities of the calcareous-clayey soil and will give us interesting historical facts about the area and the strong vocation of this estate, the only one to produce three DOC denominations: Lugana, San Martino della Battaglia and Garda Classico.

We will then move inside the cellar to explore the winemaking rooms. Here we will discover the secrets of the processing of native grapes such as Turbiana, Tuchì, Groppello, Marzemino, Barbera and Sangiovese, while also being able to admire fascinating old tools of the trade dating back to the 1930s.

The highlight of the experience will be held outside, under the evocative portico of the winery, where we will sit for the guided tasting. We will be able to choose between two options:

• Basic Tasting, which includes the tasting of 4 local wines accompanied by artisanal bread and breadsticks dressed with homemade EVO oil and wine jellies
• Premium Tasting, which always includes 4 glasses (including a fine Riserva wine) , breadsticks, bread, EVO oil, wine jellies and a chopping board with the addition of 2 sliced meats and 2 local cheeses.

The experience will last about 1 hour in total.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is recommended for 18 year olds and above.

The wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Any accompanying under-age persons may participate in the experience free of charge.

The facility is accessible to people with mobility problems, wheelchair users and pushchairs, subject to mandatory notification prior to arrival (please note the presence of gravel on the farm) .

The experience runs from the end of March until the end of October and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 people.

Dogs are allowed during the experience.

There is ample free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
