Full description
Could you tell a Chianti D. O. C. G. from a Riserva without looking at the label? To do so you don't need a manual, but a total immersion at the Bonomonte winery, which has been giving a unique personality to Tuscany's best-loved vines since 1982.
It will be a journey in three stages: a regenerating walk among the vines to understand the terrain, a descent into the underground cellar among vats and production secrets, and finally a guided tasting of four glasses.
And since Tuscany is not just about grapes, get ready to taste the company's EVO oil and end on a high note with the ever-present vin santo and cantucci pair.
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the Azienda Agricola Bonomonte in Barberino Tavarnelle (FI), in the splendid setting of the Chianti hills. We will be welcomed by the guide who will immediately take us to the heart of the production: the vineyard. The rows of vines are located on the hill opposite, about a minute's drive (or a short walk for those who prefer to walk) .
During the walk through the vineyard of about 20-30 minutes, the guide will give us technical insights and curiosities about the soil and the different varieties of grapes grown, explaining how the local microclimate influences the ripening of the fruit.
After discovering the origin of the raw material, we will visit the underground cellar located just below the main building, for about 10-15 minutes. Here we will explore the premises dedicated to vinification, observing the cement vats where fermentation takes place and the steel tanks used for ageing, discovering the secrets that make each bottle unique.
The tasting will take place outdoors if the weather permits, or in the dedicated room. We will taste 4 labels from the production: the Ros'Astro Toscana I. G. T. Rosato, the Chianti D. O. C. G., the Camp'Albracco Toscana I. G. T. Rosso and the Chianti D. O. C. G. Riserva. To accompany, we will taste our own Extra Virgin Olive Oil and conclude with vin santo and artisanal cantucci.
The experience will last approximately 2 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for participants aged 18 and over.
The wine tasting is reserved for participants aged 18 and over. Accompanying persons aged 18 and over who do not participate in the wine tasting (abstemious persons and/or pregnant women) pay the same fee and will be served accompanying food, extra virgin olive oil and water. Accompanying persons aged between 0 and 17 participate free of charge: contact the guide at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail to indicate their presence.
The experience is not accessible to wheelchair users.

Attention! In the event of bad weather on the same or previous days, the experience will take place entirely indoors, excluding the vineyard walk.
The experience takes place all year round.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
