Full description

Every glass of wine has a story to tell: come and discover it!

With this experience in Monforte d’Alba, you’ll get to take part in a tasting of four DOC/DOCG wines and visit the Dogliani Il Generale winery. Accompanied by a guide, you’ll discover the history of the region and learn how the wine makes its journey from grape to glass!

A platter of local delicacies is included!

What we will do

The meeting is at 3. 30 pm at the Dogliani Il Generale winery in Monforte d'Alba, in the province of Cuneo, in the Bussia Soprana area. We will be welcomed by our guide, who will take us on a journey to discover the history of a family now in its fifth generation of winegrowers.

On arrival, we’ll walk past one of the estate’s vineyards, where we’ll be told about the unique characteristics of the terroir and the natural landscape around us. We’ll then continue with a tour of the winery, exploring the rooms dedicated to winemaking techniques, storage and the ageing of premium wines in oak.

Once the tour is over, we’ll move to the tasting room to select, together with the guide, the four types of DOC/DOCG wines to taste. Among these, Barolo Bussia is always included.

The tasting usually begins with a white wine, continues with Barbera and Nebbiolo, and culminates in the intensity of Barolo. As we taste the wines, the guide will explain in detail all the organoleptic characteristics to look out for.

The wines will be accompanied by a delicious platter of local cold meats and cheeses.

The experience will last approximately 1. 5 hours.
