Wine tasting and cellar visit in Pistoia

A family, the winemaking tradition and the territory of Tuscany.

These are the ingredients of our wine tasting and winery tour in Pistoia: you will walk through the vineyard, explore the cellar and taste the best labels of Fattoria di Casalbosco, a family-run farm that produces wine according to the great Tuscan winemaking tradition.

An experience to be lived in (and with) all the senses!

What we will do

The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the Fattoria di Casalbosco in Pistoia. We will be welcomed by a guide who will accompany us on a discovery of this family-run farm in the heart of Tuscany!

Having gathered all the participants, the experience will begin with a presentation of the farm: we will get to know the Becagli family, who have been producing wine in the great Tuscan winemaking tradition since 1960. This will be followed by a visit to the historic cellar: we will walk among steel tanks, wooden barrels and amphorae, delving into the production of wine. This first moment will last about 45 minutes.

If time permits, the experience will continue outside with a short walk in the vineyard: we will venture between the rows, delving further into the characteristics of the soil and the moment of the grape harvest. The grape varieties cultivated are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sangiovese, Trebbiano and Chardonnay. This second moment will last about 10 minutes.

We will then take a seat in the tasting room, set up inside in the historic cellar or outside with a view of the vineyard, depending on the best weather conditions. When booking, you can choose between:

• 3 glasses tasting: 3 DOGC and/or IGT red and white wines and 1 vinsanto. The tasting will be accompanied by classic savouries and bread topped with home-produced olive oil.
• Tasting of 4 glasses: 4 DOGC and/or IGT red and white wines and 1 vinsanto. The tasting will be accompanied by a board of local products such as cured meats, cheeses, sweet pastries and bread dressed with home-produced olive oil.

The experience will last a total of 1½ to 2 hours depending on the tasting selected.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is recommended for participants aged 18 and over.

The wine tasting is reserved for participants over 18 years of age only. Any accompanying under-age participants may enjoy the food tasting accompanied by a non-alcoholic beverage.

The facility is wheelchair and pushchair accessible.

Other information

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.

In the event of bad weather, the experience will take place entirely indoors.
