Indiana Jones travelled all over the world in search of the Holy Grail, but perhaps all he needed to do was look inside a barrel in Sardinia to find the secret of immortality!
Come and discover the historic Cantina Contini in Cabras, in the province of Oristano. Since 1898, time has passed at a different pace here: a tour of the winery awaits you, where you’ll learn about a unique ageing method, rounded off with a tasting of four glasses of wine, accompanied by delicious savoury nibbles.

What we will do
The meeting point is at the Contini Winery in Cabras, in the province of Oristano, set against the backdrop of the Sinis, a region where history, tradition and nature come together. We will be welcomed by our guide, who will introduce us to this winery.
We’ll begin with a tour of the winery – a 40-minute tour that will take us to the places where the estate’s wines are born and mature. We’ll discover that, after more than a hundred years, the love for the vineyard and the local area remains as strong as ever. Among the many interesting facts, the guide will also explain a highly distinctive oxidative method, unique in the world, which involves ageing the wines with the grapes still on the vine, allowing them to mature for up to 70 years.
Afterwards, we’ll settle in for a guided tasting. For about an hour, the undisputed stars of the show will be the native Sardinian grape varieties.
We’ll taste four glasses of wine, specifically:
- Attilio Bianco Spumante
- Karmis Bianco Isola dei Nuraghi IGT
- Maluentu Rosso Tharros IGT
- Pontis Bianco Dolce IGT
The tasting will be accompanied by canapés specially selected to complement the wines.
The experience will last approximately 1. 5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The wine tasting is reserved for those aged 18 and over. Any accompanying adults who do not drink alcohol may take part in the experience at a cost of €15 (which includes only the tour, a non-alcoholic drink and a snack) . Children aged 3 to 17 may take part for €11 (includes the tour, a fruit juice and a snack) .
The venue is accessible to people with reduced mobility, wheelchair users and those with pushchairs.
Other information
The experience takes place all year round, from Monday to Saturday.
Options are available for people with food allergies and intolerances: please contact the venue using the details provided in your booking confirmation email to let them know.
Dogs are permitted, provided they are kept on a lead.
As the activity takes place entirely indoors at the winery, the experience will go ahead as normal even in the event of bad weather.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
