Wine tasting and winery visit in Partinico in the Sicilian hinterland

At theAugustali winery, immersed in the countryside of Palermo, you will start with an initial wine tasting directly between the rows of vines, and then continue into the cellar, ending with atasting of 3 wines and local products.

What we will do

The appointment is at the time selected during the booking process at theAugustali farm, in the province of Palermo. On arrival, the guide will welcome us by handing us our glass holder.

We will begin with a walk through the vineyards where we will have our first taste of Vermentino wine, while we will be told about the roots of the winery, the history of the family, and the characteristics of this land so dear to Frederick II of Swabia.

With our glass, we will move into the cellar to discover every nook and cranny: from the barrique cell ar to the steel tanks, where we will learn more about the production process. The visit will last about 30-40 minutes.

We will then continue outside, crossing a meadow that will take us among aromatic plants and centuries-old olive trees, to a second vineyard where we will pick a small bouquet of aromatic herbs to accompany our tasting.

We will taste three of the winery's wines, starting with a white and then moving on to the reds, perfectly paired with a platter of cold meats and cheeses with caponata and other local delicacies(honey, pâté and jams).

Before sitting down to eat, those who wish can meet the farm animals, from donkeys to baby goats, to fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the estate. The experience will last about two hours in total.

Who it is aimed at

The wine tasting is reserved for participants of legal age only. Minors or abstemious persons will be offered the Sicilian specialities as described combined with fruit juices or non-alcoholic drinks.

Children from 2 to 12 years pay a reduced rate, which can be selected in the booking box.

The experience is accessible to wheelchair users.

The activity can be booked all year round, from Monday to Saturday, and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 people.
