In the heart of Vulture, amidst volcanic landscapes and vineyards, an experience combining wine, history and contemporary architecture awaits you.
In Lavello , the Vitis in Vulture winery opens its doors to you for an immersive visit between production and tasting. An experience of about one and a half hours that will lead you to discover how a volcanic wine is made.
The activity is completed by a tasting of 3 or 4 wines to choose from among white, rosé and red wines, accompanied by local cold meats, cheeses and taralli!
What we will do
The appointment is at the Vitis in Vulture Soc. Coop. Arl in Lavello (PZ) , in the setting of the volcanic territory of Vulture. We will be welcomed by a guide who will accompany us to discover the winery and its production philosophy.
We will begin the experience with a visit outside the facility, where we will also observe an area of archaeological interest. The guide will tell us the history of the winery and why this volcanic area is so important for wine production.
We will then continue inside the cellar, visiting the barrique cellar, where the wines are aged in wood, and the production area with tanks and processing facilities. Here we will explore all the stages of winemaking, from grape processing to bottling, with a focus on the volcanic wines of Vulture.
After the guided tour, we will move to the tasting area, where the experiential part of the activity will begin. Depending on the option chosen, we will taste 3 or 4 wines among whites, rosés and reds (to be chosen at the time of booking) . The tasting of 4 glasses will include a premium Aglianico wine aged for at least one year in barriques.
The tasting will be accompanied by a platter of typical local products, with cured meats, cheeses and taralli from the area, to enhance the flavours of Lucania and the characteristics of the wines.
The experience will last about 1. 5 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The wine tasting is reserved for participants over 18 years of age.
Any accompanying under-age persons and abstemious persons may participate in the experience as companions. There is a price reduction for those who do not take part in the wine tasting.
The facility is wheelchair-accessible.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed when the minimum number of 2 people is reached.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
