This is what awaits you by taking part in our food and wine experience in the province of Rieti: you will visit the historic wine cellar and taste haute cuisine dishes paired with the best house labels.
A 4-hour experience that tastes of tradition and modernity!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Castelfranco (RI) . The experience takes place at Cantina Le Macchie, in the hills of Monte Terminillo.
On site, we will meet the sommelier who will accompany us on a discovery of this winery. Having gathered all the participants, the experience will begin with a guided tour of the historic cellar: we will walk through the recently renovated basement, encountering the remains of the tanks in which grapes were crushed and fermented as far back as the 1400s. We will then visit the contemporary production area. Along the way we will learn more about the history of the area, the winery and wine production.
At the end of the winery experience, we will return to our vehicle to reach the nearby restaurant, a few minutes' drive away. Lunch or dinner with wine pairing will be served on site. The set menu includes an appetiser, first course, main course and dessert; accompanied by 7 house wines that will enhance each course.
The experience lasts about 4 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended from the age of 18. Minors are admitted without age limit as long as they are accompanied by an adult participant.
Wine tasting is reserved for adult participants only.
The facility is wheelchair accessible.
