Come and discover the secrets of Tenuta L’Impostino in the Upper Grosseto Maremma: a place where you can really feel the passion for the land through a philosophy of organic, natural and sustainable cultivation. You’ll embark on a journey combining native and international grape varieties, rounded off by a fascinating guided tour of the winery and the barrel cellar.
The experience will draw to a splendid close on the farmstay’s wonderful terrace, where you can enjoy a tasting of four wines, including a fine Riserva, paired with a generous platter of local specialities!
What we will do
The tour takes place at the selected time at Tenuta L’Impostino in Civitella Paganico (GR), set in the Upper Maremma – a wild landscape dominated by the ancient, dormant volcano of Mount Amiata, which endows these soils with unique fertility.
We will be welcomed by our guide, who will take us on a walk through the estate’s vineyards , explaining the perfect coexistence of native and international grape varieties. During the tour, we will discover how the wines are made, gaining first-hand insight into the estate’s organic and sustainable philosophy .
We will then move into the winery, a modern 2, 000-square-metre facility overlooking the hillside. Here, the guide will explain all the stages of the winemaking process, revealing secrets ranging from the most traditional techniques to the most innovative.
We’ll then continue our visit by exploring the enchanting underground barrel cellar, the ‘Sala dei Legni’, where the skilful use of barrels allows each wine to express its characteristics to the full.
Finally, we will be welcomed onto the farmstay’s wonderful terrace or into the indoor dining room, where, whilst enjoying a breathtaking view, we will begin the tasting itself . We will taste four organic wines, including a Riserva selection, to fully appreciate the elegance and robustness of Sangiovese and the other wines from the Montecucco DOC and Toscana IGP appellations.
The wines will be expertly paired with a platter of typical local specialities and fragrant baked goods.
The experience will last approximately one and a half hours in total .
Who it is aimed at
This experience is recommended for those aged 18 and over. The wine tasting is for adults only. Any accompanying minors may take part in the experience at a cost of €15, payable on site, with a soft drink included.
The venue is accessible to people with reduced mobility and wheelchair users.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
