Some wine cellars open their doors. Others, like Fratelli Serio & Battista Borgogno, make you feel part of home right from the first welcoming glass. Here, the welcome is not a detail: it is a ritual that has been handed down for five generations.
After a visit to the historic barrel cellar, a complete tasting of 6 wines awaits you, with a pathway that goes from Nebbiolo to the most identity labels, up to 2 limited edition Barolo.
An experience that will be rounded off with a walk through the vineyard, to discover this prestigious Barolo cru even closer!
What we will do
The appointment is five minutes before the selected time at the Fratelli Serio & Battista Borgogno winery in Barolo (CN), also recognised as the 'capital' of the Langhe. On our arrival, the guide will welcome us with a welcome glass to start preparing the palate.
We will begin the tour of the winery from the historic barrel cellar, where the barrels dedicated to ageing rest. Here we will learn more about the history of the family, the evolution of the company and the foundations of the production philosophy. We will discover the terroir, the grapes and what makes Cannubi one of the most famous crus of the Langhe.
Afterwards, we will move to the tasting room, where the sommelier will guide us through a tailor-made didactic tasting . In fact, we will taste 6 goblets including 2 Barolo Limited wines (old vintages or limited production) , 2 vintage Barolo and 2 wines of our choice. The glasses will be accompanied by breadsticks and/or hazelnuts, selected to best enhance the aromas of the wines.
At the end of the tasting, we will receive the map for the Cannubi Walk Experience, which will allow us to walk independently through the vineyards discovering the history, traditions and characteristics of Cru Cannubi.
The experience will last about 1½ hours in total .
Who it is aimed at
The wine-tasting session is reserved for adults only, while accompanying persons under age may attend free of charge.
The facility is accessible to wheelchair users, as well as pushchairs.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
