The best end to the day? A dinner with wine pairing, on a panoramic terrace overlooking the hills of the Marche!
And that's exactly what awaits you at Tenuta Cocci Grifoni: a member of the family will accompany you on an exploration of this historic wine estate, visiting the cooperage and wine library.
A3-hour experience, to discover the Marche region in (and with) all the senses!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before 19:00 at Tenuta Cocci Grifoni in San Savino di Ripatransone (AP). We will be welcomed by a member of the family, who will accompany us on a discovery of this wine tourism reality in the Marche!
The tour will begin with anintroduction to the family business: from its origins back in 1933 to the present day, with the work and passion of the fourth generation.
This will be followed by a visit to the barrel cellar: we will stroll through the Rosso Piceno estate amidst cement, steel and characteristic oak casks; we will then arrive in the scenographic wine library where all the bottles produced from the 1940s to the present day are collected, and we will be able to admire the evolution of the labels over time. Finally, we will pass into the production area housing the bottling machine, a rarity to be found here!
At the end of the 30-minute visit, we will go up to the panoramic terrace with an exclusive view of the town of Ripatransone, the hills of the Tesino Valley and the sea on the horizon. This scenario will provide the backdrop for our dinner (included), which will include 5 courses symbolising the culinary tradition of the Marche region (two starters, first course, second course, dessert); all accompanied by 3 wines from the Tenuta Cocci Grifoni, paired with the dishes and expertly described during the service.
The experience will last a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for participants aged 18 and over.
The wine tasting is reserved for participants over 18 years of age only. A non-alcoholic accompaniment is reserved for underage participants, astemics and pregnant women.
The wine cellar and wine library are wheelchair-accessible; the dinner will take place on another panoramic terrace on the first floor. Please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to request support on arrival.
Other information
Attention! In the event of bad weather, dinner will be held in an indoor room with glass walls and a panoramic view.
The experience takes place from June to September and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Small dogs are only allowed in the indoor rooms, they are not allowed on the panoramic terrace. Contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to check if you can bring your four-legged friend with you.
