Be honest: how many times have you thought about giving it all up and escaping into the great outdoors?
In the Majella National Park, you can do just that – on horseback! Ride for two hours through the unspoilt landscapes of Abruzzo, at the foot of Mount Morrone, and along the banks of the River Sagittario.
Accompanied by an equestrian guide, you’ll enjoy an unforgettable escape into the countryside!
What we will do
We’ll meet 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Pratola Peligna (AQ). We’ll be welcomed at the riding school by the equestrian guide who’ll be accompanying us on this riding adventure!
Once all participants have gathered, we’ll meet our ‘adventure companions’ – the horses. We’ll then be helped into the saddle and taught the basics of horse riding. We’ll then have the chance to get to grips with it by taking a trial ride around the training arena.
That’s when our horse ride will begin: we’ll follow a route that runs alongside the River Sagittario, offering us stunning natural views of the Maiella National Park and Mount Morrone. The route will include some changes in elevation, though it remains suitable even for those with no experience.
Finally, we’ll return to the meeting point. The horse ride will last approximately 2 hours, whilst the entire activity will last approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is suitable for those aged 16 and over. Those under 18 must be accompanied to the riding school by an adult to sign the liability waiver.
To take part in the activity, participants must weigh no more than 100 kg.
This experience is classified as ‘easy’ and is suitable for first-time riders.
Other information
The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed once a minimum of two participants have signed up.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Any accompanying adults may wait at the riding school, where there is a clubhouse serving as a meeting point; dogs on a lead are permitted on the premises.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
