Full description

When you think of four-wheel adventure, does your mind immediately fly to the adrenaline-fuelled world of quad biking?

Good, because we have a truly unmissable quad bike excursion for you.

Starting from Castel di Sangro, you'll enjoy riding for about an hour and a half on dirt tracks and asphalt roads until you reach the Montagna Spaccata lake, the natural gem of this wild region.

Climb into the saddle and let yourself be surprised!

What we will do

We’ll meet up 10 minutes before the time selected when booking in Castel di Sangro (AQ). After meeting our expert guides, we’ll have a brief introduction to understand how these nippy four-wheelers work.

After a few test laps, we’ll set off on our quads, venturing along the dirt tracks. We’ll ride alongside the picturesque River Sangro before reaching Villa Scontrone, a hamlet in the municipality of Scontrone, famous for its panoramic setting offering incredible views of the surrounding countryside.

After taking in the view, we’ll continue downhill towards Lago della Montagna Spaccata. This lake is a little gem nestled amongst the mountains, whose calm waters reflect the sky and the surrounding woods, creating a scene of serenity and peace.

We’ll stop for about 15 minutes to take photos and videos and, if we wish, have a chat with the guide, before getting back on the quads and setting off on the return journey, passing by the River Sangro once more.

The route is approximately 20 km in total, comprising 50 per cent tarmac and 50 per cent dirt track. We’ll say our goodbyes once we’re back in the village, after this adventure lasting around an hour and a half.
