Forget noisy engines and the chaos of the beach: it's time to raise the sails and get serious!
Take part in this introductory sailing experience in Orbetello and learn to sail like a real sea dog under the watchful eye of an experienced instructor. You will discover basic nautical nomenclature, how to rig a dinghy and handle the helm, and explore the Argentario coastline.
You don't need to be an admiral to get started: all you need is the desire to get involved between one tack and the next!
What we will do
The rendezvous is 10 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Orbetello (GR), where our sailing instructor will be waiting for us, who will guide us through each phase of the experience. After an initial welcome, we will begin with an informative briefing about the area and the basic safety rules for sailing in peace.
We will then prepare and rig the boat together with the instructor. During this phase, lasting about 30 minutes, we will learn basic nautical nomenclature, essential for communicating during the activity. Then we will get on the dinghy and start sailing from the beach.
We will move along the coast and, in turn, we will all experience the thrill of being at the helm and handling the mainsail or the jib. We will reach Santa Liberata and, shortly afterwards, Villa Domizia, where there are the remains of a Roman villa dating back to the 1st century BC. We will then head towards the bay of Il Pozzarello and, weather permitting, we will push on to the mouth of the Albegna river.
During the excursion, we will stop for a dip in the sea and a swim in the beautiful waters of the Argentario. Also, if we are lucky, we may catch a glimpse of some dolphins! Finally, we will return to our starting point loaded with new skills and unforgettable memories.
The activity will last a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for ages 6 and up; children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult or present a waiver signed by a parent.
The activity is accessible to people in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility, provided they are accompanied by a personal assistant.
Other information
The activity takes place from March until November and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 3 participants. The itinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions, at the instructor's discretion.
The boats used during the activity will be collective dinghies, between 4 and 6 metres long, ideal for learning. Each boat will be able to accommodate a maximum of 5 people, depending on their total weight. No shoes will be required on board.
Small dogs are only allowed on board if provided with a life jacket for dogs.
On-site parking spaces are available for a fee. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
