Boat tours: what to see in Argentario

Argentario is an ideal destination for enthusiasts of outdoor activities. Based in Orbetello, you can go hiking and mountain-biking or visit the WWF-protected Lagoon, famous for the presence of pink flamingos. When it comes to boat tours, you can embark from Porto Santo Stefano and Porto Ercole, at either end of the promontory.

Going a boat tour to Argentario means immersing yourself in a marine environment of rare beauty. The rugged coastline offers a wealth of picturesque inlets, bays and coves. These morphological features make Argentario an ideal site for snorkeling and scuba diving.

Cala Grande, Cala Piccola, Cala del Gesso, and Cala del Bove are just some of the bays found along the coast. They are all characterized by clear water and lush vegetation. In order not to miss these beauties – some of which are not accessible by land – a boat tour is an absolutely recommended choice for those wishing to visit Argentario.

Argentario boat tours: how much do they cost?

The price for a boat tour to Argentario depends mainly on the duration and type of trip. For example, a full-day catamaran boat tour costs 70 euros per person, with lunch and open bar included. Of course, there are suggestions for all tastes and budgets: from sunset aperitif tours to romantic dinner boat tours.

13 Jul 2026 | Day sailing along the Argentario coast or Uccellina Park with lunch

Sunday on a sailing boat

We had a brilliant time; we spent a wonderful day on the waters of the Uccellina Nature Reserve. The lunch was delicious, and the skipper and his partner were very kind.

19 Jul 2026 | Dinghy excursion and snorkelling at the Argentario

The difference between swimming and exploring

An experience unlike any you’ve had at seaside resorts. A genuine exploration under the careful and professional guidance of Nello, who takes you on a journey to discover the treasures of the Argentario. If you’re expecting the usual ‘dive, boat, swim’ experience, this isn’t for you. If, on the other hand, you want to experience a genuine exploration that will enrich you from start to finish, you absolutely mustn’t miss it.nNello is a true professional: “an old diving instructor, but not an old-fashioned one”nSpectacular!

A Wonderful Experience

A family day out that will certainly remain etched in our memories… Led by the great Nello, who knows more than Neptune himself, we were captivated by his wisdom, his good humour and his knowledge of the sea… a true sea dog… And then there was Cristina with her trusty Gerry… a woman who can strike up a friendly rapport with anyone, able to pamper, look after and put everyone at ease – from the grown-ups, but especially the little ones. She was so kind and proved to be a brilliant guide during our visit to the Grotta del Turco… A Queen of the Sea.n “Fair winds and a safe journey.” We’ll certainly meet again.

An unforgettable day with Nello exploring the sea

A wonderful and enjoyable experience with my friend Nello, who was able to explain every secret of the sea and its creatures. Even the children were thrilled to explore the sea and watch the fish and sea urchins, right into the ‘Cave of Colours’.nI’d recommend it to anyone planning to spend their holidays in this stunning part of Tuscany, the Maremma.

20 Jul 2026 | Half-day snorkeling tour along the Argentario coastline

Snorkelling

We spent a lovely afternoon exploring the Argentario coastline with wetsuits, fins and snorkels. Ideal for families: we had three teenagers with us who were able to swim in the crystal-clear waters, spotting fish, venturing into a cave and diving off the rocks. We also really enjoyed the aperitif on board the dinghy!
