Full description
Imagine mounting a horse, shooting an arrow and... hitting the target!
That's exactly what you'll do by taking part in our horseback archery experience: thanks to the teachings of a riding instructor and archer, you'll learn this historically-tinged martial art.
An experience of over 1 hour, take a journey through time on horseback!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Rocca di Botte (AQ). We will be welcomed by theriding instructor and archer who will accompany us on this adventure.
Once all the participants have gathered, we will reach the camp where the experience will take place. We will begin by performing stretching and preparatory archery exercises. We will then be given a bow and arrow, to simulate archery on horseback with static and dynamic exercises. This first part will last approximately 45 minutes.
And here we are ready to saddle up: depending on our level, we will learn or brush up on the basics of riding. With bow and arrow in hand, we will proceed riding our horse and try to hit targets; if we are beginners we will proceed at a walk, while if we are experienced riders we may ask to proceed at a trot. The instructor will be by our side at all times, collecting our arrows and supporting us with tips to improve our horse archery technique!
The experience will last 1½ hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from 6 years of age; children under 18 may participate unaccompanied.
A maximum weight of 110 kg is required to participate.
The experience is customisable according to the participant's level.
Other information
The experience takes place throughout the year.
Any accompanying persons may attend the experience and take photos. Any dogs on a leash are allowed in the riding hall.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
