Ares Survival Course - Basic survival course in Lecco

Experience a full-immersion day with the survival course and learn the basic techniques of survival.

The key to survival is knowing how to adapt. In a borderline situation it is very difficult to plan as the environment tends to prevail. You have to be flexible and take advantage of what you find.

This is why the aim of our survival course is to lead anyone to acquire the necessary skills to deal with an emergency situation in the right way. The basis on which the course is designed is safety, professionalism and absolute fun.

In addition to the operational part, our survival course has been researched, designed and developed in such a way as to emphasise important values such as respect, trust, responsibility, perseverance and the ability to plan and organise as an individual or team.

What we will do

The programme includes learning the basic techniques necessary for setting up and surviving in the wild and moving around in the environment.

The course is structured in such a way that the subject matter is easy to learn thanks to the opportunity given to everyone to experience first-hand the techniques illustrated by the instructor so that you are ready for the unexpected and able to make the correct choices to safeguard your safety and that of others.

The activity takes place during the day from about 9 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. During this full-immersion day, followed by a FISSS (Italian Survival Federation) Expert Instructor, we will learn basic survival techniques.

The programme includes:

• Initial briefing
• Psychological aspect of wilderness survival: fears and phobias, stress management and increasing self-esteem, rules, definitions.
• Knowledge of the equipment and correct use of the survival kit
• Main nodes and their applications
• Orientation: hints on orientation with natural and modern systems
• Techniques, types, methods and rules for building a shelter
• Fire lighting techniques with ancient and modern methods
• Fire and signalling: where and when
• ...and much more!

The courses take place near Lecco in all weathers in fascinating, wild coniferous forests on a marvellous plateau overlooking Lake Como. Easily accessible from all over Lombardy, only 50 km from Milan and less than an hour fromOrio al Serio International Airport (Bergamo) and Milan LinateAirport .

Who it is aimed at

The courses are aimed at people aged 15 years and over of any gender, competence, in good health, more or less homogeneous groups, military, soft air groups, boy scouts, school groups, university students, managers, team building.

No previous experience is necessary, what is needed is a good dose of willpower and a great desire to get involved. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or an adult with parental authorisation.

Other information

Courses take place on the dates indicated in the calendar (continually updated), and are confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 6 participants.

A medical certificate for non-competitive sporting activity is required to participate in the activity.

Important: it is necessary to arrive at the meeting point 30 minutes before the time chosen for the activity.
