If you like swimming in the sea, you will love diving in the Sardinian sea!
Join our "Baptism of the Sea" experience in Porto San Paolo: in the company of a diving instructor, you will learn the basics of this aquatic discipline and experience the unique thrill of your first dive in the Tavolara and Punta Coda Cavallo Protected Marine Area.
A complete course, consisting of a theoretical and practical part, held over 1 or 2 days depending on the preference agreed with the instructor. See you underwater!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the meeting point in Porto San Paolo (SS). We will be welcomed by thediving instructor who will accompany us on this adventure!
Once all participants have gathered, we will begin with the theoretical part: inside the venue, the instructor will explain the basics of diving for a carefree first dive. Having absorbed knowledge and passion, we will then head to the nearby beach to dive in shallow water 1.5 metres high, practising exercises in preparation for the dive. This first phase will last 3 hours and will take place in the morning.
In the afternoon, or on another day agreed with the instructor according to our individual preference, the practical part will take place: after preparing the technical equipment, we will board a boat that will take us to a beautiful natural setting in theProtected Marine Area of Tavolara and Punta Coda Cavallo, which will be the backdrop to our first dive.
Once on site, we will dive into the Sardinian sea accompanied by 1 instructor for every 2 participants: we will descend to a maximum depth of 12 metres, surrounded by the rich marine fauna inhabiting the seabed. The actual dive will last a minimum of 30 minutes; you will be able to make asingle or double dive depending on the option selected at the time of booking. This second phase will last a total of 2 hours or 4 hours depending on the number of participants and dives.
We will then return to the meeting point. The experience will last a total of 5 to 7 hours and can be carried out over 1 day or 2 days, even if not consecutive.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for 12 years of age and above; children under the age of 18 must have a signed authorisation from a responsible adult.
The diving activity is not suitable for persons in poor health, i.e. with respiratory, cardiac, neurological, eye, ear and sinus problems. People with diabetes may participate if they have a doctor's certificate and are able to manage their blood sugar independently.
Other information
Caution! It is not possible to fly 12 hours after the single dive or 24 hours after the double dive.
The experience takes place from April to October.
When booking, you can choose whether to do a'single dive' or a'double dive'. If you have purchased a single dive, you can decide on the spot to do a second dive with payment of the difference on site.
On-site parking is available for a fee. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
