Full description
Sea b aptism is the first step into the world of diving, anexciting activity suitable for everyone during which the instructor guides his student on his first sea dive.
If you want to venture into the underwater world for the first time, the sea baptism in Santo Stefano al Mare, in the province of Imperia, is for you.
In 2 hours you will learn howa diver's equipment is made up and how to use it, the main techniques for diving safely to a depth of 5 metres and, last but not least, you will explore the seabed to discover flora and fauna. We are waiting for you!
What we will do
We will meet at the established meeting point in Santo Stefano al Mare (IM), where we will meet the instructors for an initial half-hour briefing.
We will then be shown the details of the experience: theequipment will be described to us, the technique of forced middle ear compensation will be explained to us, and we will learn how to empty the mask.
Then, with our equipment on our shoulders, we will make our way to theboat and, seated on board, we will arrive at the dive site in about five minutes.
We will stay in Baia Marina degli Aregai for about 30 to 40 minutes. Underwater, each participant will have a personal instructor to guide them at all times during the adventure. We will dive to a depth of 5 metres and have the opportunity to spot some poseidonia and many different species of fish, including damselfish and bream.
At the end of the dive, we will return to the starting point. Each participant can decide whether to stay on the beach or head to the changing rooms to take a shower.
The activity lasts 2 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 8. No licence is required.
Accompanying persons are welcome: they can decide whether to board the boat or wait at the adjacent beach until the activity is over. However, should they wish to board the boat and especially in high season, please inform the organiser in advance to check feasibility.
Other information
The activity is available all year round, subject to weather and sea conditions.
Theequipment is included and provided by the organisation, but if anyone already has it and would like to bring it from home, they can of course do so.
The meeting place is easily accessible by public transport and also by car, there is a car park. At the diving centre, there are 2 changing rooms with showers.
