Full description
Discover the world of scuba diving: set sail from Porto Santo Stefano in the company of other aspiring divers to learn everything there is to know about diving techniques.
You can venture out with your instructor to a depth of 5 m to admire the granite seabed ofGiglio Island, the volcanic rocks of Giannutri or the red corals of theArgentario, depending on the itinerary chosen by the instructor for the day.
A snack and lunch also await you on board, but above all, lots of fun and relaxation!
What we will do
We will meet at 8.30 a.m. in Porto Santo Stefano. Depending on the marine weather conditions, we will establish the stages of our itinerary and then head for our chosen dive site, either along the Argentario promontory, on the island of Giglio, or in Giannutri.
As your instructor , I will immediately start explaining the basics of how to dive safely and how to wear diving equipment correctly.
After this briefing of about 15 minutes we will experience, one at a time and always accompanied by me, the first dive, which will last 20 minutes at a maximum depth of 5 metres.
The seabed will give us intense and extraordinary emotions. AtArgentario we will have the chance to admire red corals, while at Giannutri we will swim over volcanic rocks rich in marine flora even at shallow depths. If the chosen destination isGiglio Island, we will discover seabeds of white sand and granite rock.
After diving, snorkelling kits will always be available, with which we can have fun in the water. Between dives, a snack and lunch of pasta, fruit, wine, soft drinks and coffee will be offered on board.
It will also be an opportunity to get to know other aspiring or experienced divers, who will be in our company thanks to the snorkelling and diving activities offered by our diving centre.
Return to the port will take place after approximately 8½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone, from 10 years of age, without the need for a licence.
One of the two boats used for the excursion is wheelchair-accessible, and an HSA diving instructor for the disabled is available.
Other information
The activity takes place every day from June to October and is confirmed with a minimum of 10 participants. We recommend contacting the organisers 24 hours in advance to confirm departure, depending on the sea weather conditions. The detailed itinerary of the day will be established close to the departure to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
Depending on the number of participants, the group may be split between 2 boats, Gigliola and Negis, with a capacity of 28 and 18 people respectively. In addition, there may be people on the boat who are engaged in another of our diving activities, such as snorkelling or double diving.
Both boats are equipped with a kitchen, bathroom with hot shower, sunbathing area, and a stern beach with a double ladder. Dogs are not allowed on board.
Alternatives can be requested for lunch by communicating allergies and intolerances.
There is a car park near the harbour where you can leave your car.
