With this beekeeping experience in Todi, in the province of Perugia, you will discover many interesting facts about these tireless workers, who are fundamental to the environment.
You will spend two and a half hours in the company of a beekeeper and can taste his honey, accompanied by a delicious cheese tasting!

What we will do
We will meet at the meeting point in Pesciano, a hamlet of Todi (PG), where we will be met by the guide who, as beekeeper, will accompany us during the experience.
After an initial welcome, we will have a briefing of about 30 minutes, during which we will learn about the importance of bees for the environment and some curiosities about their behaviour. Then, we will take a few minutes' walk to the apiary and settle down inside a gazebo, from which we will be able to observe the operations of the guide in complete safety.
Wewill witness the opening of a beehive and listen to the beekeeper's explanations of the objects he uses and the processes he carries out. Furthermore, we will be able to ask him all the questions we want!
After about an hour of activity, it will be time to taste the delicious honey produced by the bees and, to make it even more interesting, we will accompany it with a tasting of local cheeses (included)! In particular, we will enjoy a cheese board with 3 types of cheese, combined with 2 types of honey and served with bread, focaccia and a glass of wine.
We will discover unique flavours and relax in the midst of nature for a few more moments, then say goodbye to the guide and his wonderful estate with a smile on our faces!
Including the tasting, the experience will last about 2½ hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for ages 8 and up. Children under 18 can only participate if accompanied by a responsible adult.
The activity is not suitable for people in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility.

The activity is available from April to September and will be confirmed on reaching a minimum of 2 participants.

The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport, while free parking spaces are available on site.
